This was my first time coming here! It’s was amazing service. We sat at the Bar for happy hour and it did not disappoint! The Bartender; her name was Jordan made sure we were taken care of and the food was excellent. Thank you Jordan for making our anniversary special ❤️

Everything on the menu is literally delicious. We got the Rockefeller oysters, a bottle of Chablis, coconut shrimp, side of mash potatoes and a fish entree, then ended with a cheesecake with the best blueberry sauce and an espresso martini which smelled like a whole coffee shop. The waitress was undeniably kind and you could tell she enjoyed her job.

The service was awesome (Mario was our waiter). We made a reservation 2hrs before on a Sunday afternoon and got seated early. They give out postcards with your check! We started with the shrimp cocktail. Everything about it was delicious. I don’t usually eat shrimp cocktail but my wife insisted and I think I ate more than her. The bread they give you is very good, I had to put it across our table to avoid eating it all. My wife got the salmon with broccoli and green beans. She loved every bit of it. Nicely seasoned and well portioned. I had the redfish which was fresh as it could be. The rice, crab sauce, and shrimp were perfect. The fish was the best I’ve had. We ended with key lime pie and raspberry cheesecake for dessert. The cheesecake was to go to enjoy for later but the key lime we had here. I don’t like key lime pie as it was my wife’s choice but again I think I ended up eating more of it that she did. The house made whip cream was perfect! Last but not least the restrooms were a 10/10!

My first visit was impressive. Mahi Mahi Boudreaux was on point. The crawfish cream sauce was very tasty. I was not pleased with spices in dirty rice. The boldness did not pair well with sauce. Lobster bisque nicely done with a mildly spicy kick. The ‘Post Master’ (Hurricane) was a bit tart to my liking. Beautiful decor with a history stretching back to 1915 when the building was the New Braunfels post office. McAdoo’s could be a monthly repeat soon. Stuffed flounder on my mind.

Wonderful restaurant, wonderful seafood, excellent and wonderful service. Our server, Juliana, was amazing and wonderful. Seafood fondue was really good, catfish and shrimp were also really good. Desserts were wonderful as well. Our table got the key lime pie and the chocolate chip bread pudding. Was delicious and highly recommend.

Always great service/atmosphere whether you're stopping in for a drink and appetizer or a meal. Can't beat their fondue. So many great dishes - highly recommend! PS depending on the time of day and whether you'd be at a table or the bar, you might consider a reservation.

Had a great experience at McAdoo’s Seafood Company! Tiffany was our server and did an excellent job. She made us feel welcome from the start and took great care of us throughout the meal. We tried a few items we don’t normally order, and they were all impressive. The flash fried spinach was surprisingly one of the highlights. The Red Fish Pontchartrain was light, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the steak was very tender. The atmosphere is unique, set inside a beautifully restored old post office. The lighting and lanterns give it a comfortable, slightly romantic feel, while still being appropriate for a casual or business meal. We were also there for a birthday, and the dessert presentation was a nice touch. Overall, this is a great local spot in New Braunfels. Looking forward to coming back to try their Sunday brunch.

I’ve lived in New Braunfels for 3 years now and is the first time eating at McAdoo’s and I just have to say how incredible this place is. The seafood here is just absolutely incredible. I got the crawfish platter and perfection. I am very satisfied and impressed. The service is great, the atmosphere is great, very friendly and welcoming, very classy. The cost is definitely not cheap, but not too expensive and well worth it for the quality of food. I can’t wait to come back here and try more on the menu.

If you are looking for a great place to enjoy a nice evening with friends and a delicious meal, look no further! This is the place!! We had Mahi Mardi Gras, Almond Crusted Flounder, Seafood Stuffed Flounder and Mahi Mahi Boudreaux. Everything was superb! Not only was the seafood cooked perfectly but all the side dishes were exceptional as well. Our waiter couldn't have been more attentive without being intrusive. The noise level was lively, but not so much thar you couldn't enjoy good conversation. The restaurant used to be the old post office and had some really cool memorabilia. If you're craving seafood and a nice evening out, check this place out!!

Housed in a beautifully remodeled historic U.S. Post Office, McAdoo’s Seafood Company is the go-to destination for outstanding seafood with a distinctive Cajun flair. The service is consistently excellent, and the food is always spot-on. Fresh oysters are flown in from coast to coast and served raw on the half shell or in the classic Rockefeller style. I’ve never had a disappointing entrée here—if you’re not too hungry, a couple of appetizers can easily make a satisfying meal. The Sunday brunch is a standout experience all its own. The build-your-own Bloody Mary bar is exceptional, offering a choice of several mixes and an impressive array of garnishes, including boiled shrimp and crisp bacon.
